Warranty info:
All Motorino and Veloteq frames and motors are warranted to the original purchaser to be free of defects in materials for a period of one year from the date of purchase. All batteries, chargers and controllers are warranted to be free of defects for six months from the date of purchase.

Parts under warranty will be replaced or repaired at our option. Freight charges and the cost of labour will be charged to the customer. The owner is responsible for transporting their bike to our shop for repairs. Tires, brakes, kickstands, chains and bulbs are considered to be maintenance items and are not warranted.

Products sold as trade-ins, consignment items, demo models or at clearance sale pricing are sold 'as is' with no warranty. All sales are final. Products may be exchanged or returned at the sole discretion of E V Riders.

Electric scooters are designed to be ridden on paved roads built to provincial highway standards. Damage or component failure that occurs while climbing rough, steep or private roads may not be warranted. It is the owner's responsibility to inspect and maintain their vehicle. Damage or failure resulting from overloading, negligence, improper storage, offroad, sports or commercial use, abuse or other improper use, improper repair, improper maintenance, user alteration or modification, accident or collision may void this warranty.

Battery Care:
We want you to be satisfied with your new bike, and our advice is to recharge your battery each time the bike is used. If the battery is stored in a discharged state it may lose some of its ability to accept and maintain a full charge, and its useful life may be shortened. The alarm system will draw power at all times, so the main circuit breaker should be switched off if the bike is to be stored longer than a few days.

All batteries will self-discharge over time, so if you're not using your bike for an extended period, please switch the main circuit breaker to the “off” position, and be sure to charge your battery at least once a month.

Maintaining proper tire pressure is very important:
Operating your bike with low tire pressure creates excessive tire friction, decreases your range, and increases the load on the batteries, the controller, and the motor. This can result in expensive damage to your bike’s electrical components which will not be covered by warranty. Check your tire pressure regularly, and confirm that they are inflated to the the pressure indicated on the tire sidewall before operating the bike.

Thinking of buying an electric bike over the internet or by mail order?

Shopping locally offers several important benefits:

Before we deliver an electric vehicle to it’s new owner, we have done some basic assembly in our shop. We have checked the brake adjustment, tire pressure, lighting and other safety gear, and examined the machine for details and adjustments that may have been overlooked at the factory.

We’ve taken the bike for a spin around the block and topped up the battery, all the while noticing how the bike and the battery and the charger perform, making comparisons and observations based on our experiences with other bikes.

This process does not imply any warranty beyond that offered by the manufacturer, but it does allow us to hand over the keys to a new owner with confidence that the machine is adjusted, tuned, tried, and that it should provide reliable, trouble-free service. And if you do need some assistance, we’re here where you live.

It’s a level of personal service that no distant on-line or
mail-order vendor can or will provide
.

Found an unbelievable deal at a big box store?

There's often a catch to that fabulous bargain price.

Business-as-usual in the big discount stores often means that the customer is on their own the moment the product leaves the store.

If there's a problem, you may find that the store staff has no knowledge of, or experience with the products they sell.

They normally can't offer warranty repairs or stock replacement parts.

When there's a problem, (and there often is in bargain-priced merchandise), the store may tell you to call an 800 number where you can wait on hold for a very long time before someone tells you to bring in the bike for repair - to an address in Toronto!

Believe me, we've heard it all. Reality is - it's impossible to build a cheap electric bike without using cheap components.
